Your Guide to Apartments in Lincoln

With a rich history and plenty of future opportunity, Lincoln apartment-ites love the small town feel of this metropolis of over 15,000 people. As the city where Abraham Lincoln practiced law in the mid 1800's, it was named after him before he even became president of the United States. With three colleges including Lincoln College, Lincoln Community College and Seminary and Heartland Community College, it's well placed in central Illinois with scenic surroundings and charm.
For a small town, the city offers ample opportunity to the Lincoln apartment dweller to get exercise and stay involved in the community. Outdoors, the Lincoln Park District offers ball parks, playgrounds, a new skate park, picnic areas, a driving range and swimming pool. The park district also has indoor tennis courts, a sports center with work out equipment and aerobics classes and plenty of meeting space available for your use.
With an excellent school system, it's a great lifestyle in Lincoln. The community has three public libraries, a 25-bed critical access award-winning hospital, and a nearby county airport. Restaurants and quaint shops, as well as a few fast food and chain stores are here, so you'll always have a place to eat and be clothed.
Points of interest include the Postville Courthouse State Historic Site and the Lincoln College Museum with many Abe Lincoln memorabilia items. Events to check out during the year are the Rail splitting and balloon Festivals.
A Lincoln apartment provides so much to its residents, living on Route 66, that it is a dream to live here.
